This blog used to be called "Maura vs.Toby"."Toby" was a four-pound Unclassified Sarcoma that surgeons removed from Maura's abdomen in April, 2008. She died on May 19, 2009. Toby's evil spawn may have killed her body, but Maura lives on. The tumors, on the other hand, were incinerated. They are gone. And she is in pain no more.

Power
God's power, prayer power and Dr. Benjamin's power. Not days later , but only HOURS later, approval from both the trial directors and the insurance company came and Maura started chemo last night while still in the hospital. She'll be hooked up to the chemo until tonight. Should be discharged tomorrow. Pain seems to be under control for now--she's not pain free, but her pain is at a tolerable level.
GO MAURA, GO!!!

ReplyDeleteHello, I'm also 21 years old and a sarcoma survivor. I was diagnosed with alveolar soft part sarcoma in January of 2007. My tumor was also in my abdomen. Thinking of Maura!! We seem to have some similarities..
ReplyDeleteI love you Maura! I'm praying for you everyday girl. <3
