A Promise Fulfilled

In the early morning hours of Monday, April 5--if you can even call 2:44a.m. "morning"--little Annive Maura was born to Scott and Amanda. Just days before her death, Maura told Amanda that Amanda's ovarian cancer would go away and that she would get pregnant and have a beautiful baby and, well, it happened, just as she said it would. Here are Mom Amanda and the miracle named Annive (pronounced ANN-ih-vee). Mom and baby are doing fine. It has been a happy week.

What a gift, and what an amazing legacy. (And what a beautiful baby, too!)

Awesome happiness for mom and baby.
Bittersweet for you.

Matt commented last week that high on his list of regrets was that he missed opening day of Baseball season last year with Adam and Maura.

In my mind Maura will forever be linked with Astro's baseball, "The Lord Bless you and Keep You", Beach Vacations, bright yellow, and of course, teal.

Love to you and yours

What a beautiful baby. Life is a miracle. After spending so much time studying biology and anatomy this Spring, I have appreciated the miracle that is life, so much more. Everyone is so wonderfully and beautifully made. Congratulations Amanda on your miracle.
and Erin, your happiness makes me happy :)

Welcome to the world Annive Maura.
