Christmas

Last night I went to two Christmas Eve services at two different churches. I won't say it was easy. It was not. It was sad and quietly joyful and oh so difficult. But even if I am ignoring the usual trappings of Christmas in my household this year--no tree, no dinner, no decorations, etc--I cannot ignore that the One whose birth we celebrate put into motion the events that purchased my life and ensured that I would one day be reunited with the daughter that I miss so much. For that reason, and for so many other blessings poured out to all of us, I wish everyone a merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas to you. I hope you and your family are ...... making it. I dont know what else to say other than that. I know you're not well, it's hard to be well or fine with what you have had to go through. But I know Maura is singing Christmas carols in heaven. Peace be with you.

Merry Christmas..or just Christmas!
I can't imagine how hard this holiday season was on you all.

I hope you had a chance to have some chestnuts roasting on an open fire :)We bought chestnuts once when I was a teenager. We had no idea how to prepare them being without an open fire so mom said...hey, let's try the microwave! After spending hours scraping chestnut bits from the sides of the device, we decided that maybe chestnuts were not going to be that new tradition. I laugh when I see them proudly displayed at the local fruit market.
