Here is a link about Maura on the Promise Me blog. I'm excited that I'll finally get to meet Nancy Brinker on Friday, October 1 when she comes to the Champions Barnes & Noble in Spring for a book signing. I'm bringing the copy I have. I hope they don't mind that I bought it somewhere else.

I lost a friend to sarcoma this week. Like Maura, she was a vivacious, talented, physically and intrinsically beautiful young woman (23 years). The pain of losing yet another gift from God to this insidious disease leaves me speechless. Almost.
This has to stop. The healing has to begin. And it can only begin one trial at a time. Today isn't soon enough for me.
