Two for Two

We need to be especially vigilant this week as her white blood cell count diminishes, keeping Maura away from any possible exposure to infection. We have signs on the door asking people to head straight to the sink for 30 seconds of hand washing followed by hand sanitizer. She started wearing a mask last night when her friends came to visit, and we had to escort her out of the living room and "put her to bed" when she was visibly exhausted but unwilling to say goodbye to her friends.
She LOVES having her friends visit--all of them--and we all appreciate the love and attention shown by so many toward Maura. In fact, one of the doctors made a point of telling us that study after study has shown a definite correlation between long-term survival rates and two non-medical factors. The first is a deep faith and knowledge that God is in control. The second is the love, prayers, and support of friends and family. Maura is two for two. So, keep those visits and letters and emails and cards and prayers coming. Maura has every card hung on the wall in her room. She cherishes the time she has with friends and family. (Check with us before you visit, though, to make sure she's healthy enough)

You all are just amazing. It has to be very hard to go through it all. Knowing that God is on your side is such a blessing. He never allows us to go through anything He has not prepared us for. We continue to pray for you and your family. The Peterman's, Rick, Susan and Ashley

I'm still trying to figure out when to visit while I'm in Texas. I don't even know if I'm going to rent a car. Wasn't planning on it, but I might have to in order to make it easier. My friends will definitely let me borrow cars to visit during the week, but I arrive at 2:30 a.m. Friday and the big beach house ordeal starts that evening, so it gets confusing. Please have someone let me know when it's OK to visit on Friday so I can try to navigate a plan.

I don't know if you've heard about this yet, but there is a huge Healing and Glory revival going on in Lakeland, Florida. It's been going on for more than 60 days, as I've been told, and anything and everything you've heard of has been healed. 19 people have been raised from the dead, limbs have grown back, and tumors have fallen off of bodies. People just watching it and believing in what's happening on GodTv or http://us.god.tv/ have been healed, saved, and raised from the dead.
I'm watching it currently on the website, and it comes on every night at 7pm or 630pm on GodTv if you have directv or probably any other dish. But they also do a live feed on the website. I believe in the healing powers of the Holy Spirit and what He's doing there in Lakeland and how he's bringing it across the world. As I'm watching it, Maura is completely on my mind. I believe God can and will heal her, and if He chooses to use this revival as a means for her miraculous healing, I want to believe in it and pray for it and trust in His hand moving upon this situation.
I urge you to look up about this revival and hear from God about its place in your lives. I believe in the amazing healing power of the Holy Spirit moving in the DeSouza household and within Maura's body. Praise God for his amazing presence.
