By the way, the Houston Dynamo came to visit Maura yesterday and gave her a signed ball and a T-shirt. Frankly, she looked stunning, was her usual charming self, and I think they were all quite smitten with her. Pictures later.

Hospice care? Does this mean she will only get palliative treatment from now on? Have the doctors given up?
Is maura still able to move on her own? I hope she can be happy and comfortable at home. I love her...

I found out that one of my managers at work knows Maura from highschool and such. His name is John Wallace, he wanted to say hi and that he's thinkin about ya'll and praying for Maura. I hope you'll pass that along to her.
I'm glad Maura will be able to be with Bianca and be comfortable at home. I love her so much and am constantly thinking about her and praying for her and my confidence in God's plan for all of this. Love ya'll.

maura i am FERVENTLY praying for you & CONSTANTLY loving you all the way from japan. you are in my heart.
Maura, I love you and I am praying for you and your family every second. You are the only thing on my mind this week. :) I think you and yours right now. Then I think about bible study, Mabel, The Messiah, classes together since freshman year, your smile, how you kick my butt in German, and again your smile... I especially think about how you glorify God, how He is using you in incredible ways. He always has. Mostly I think about our sisterhood through Christ, and how that is a pure and eternal bond, stronger even than friendship. I praise Him for it.
I saw your graduation and your Houston News cameo! You are as beautiful as always!
Sending all my love...
Meg
We are praying for you and your family. We have such fond memories of you as a little girl at Spring Baptist. Peace and love from the Hollis Family.
Dear Maura and Family,
You don't know me, but my niece, Dodie Niemeyer works with a friend of yours and she sent your information to me asking for prayers. I have worked for Star Hospice in Hobbs, N.M. for 2 years and for another hospice for 4 years. It is my love and passion and I feel that you will receive wonderful care from them. Hospice does not ask anyone to "give up", we just respect and honor the wishes of our patients and families. Death (as is birth) is just a new beginning, a beginning of a new, beautiful, eternal life with our Saviour. You will have no more pain, no more suffering. Those of us left behind will grieve because we are separated from someone we love SO much, someone so special as you Maura. But it is ONLY a separation for a little while. Please just remember that "All things work for good to them that love the Lord". May his love be wrapped around you and your family/friends that they may endure this separation. My heart goes out to you and your family more than I can ever tell you. God Bless each of you and if I can help in any way, my phone #'s are 575-390-6138 or 575-631-7734. In Christ's Love, Karen Head, Hobbs, N.M.
The DeSouza Family,
I have lived next door to you for most of my life and each and everyone of you are so amazing! You have always stood by eachother's side and the love you have for one another is so wonderful. Maura, you are so beautiful and so sweet. I just keep thinking about all the times you came to our beach house and always made everyone laugh. You are always in my thoughts and prayers and I will do ANYTHING FOR YOU! You are so strong and I am truly amazed by you! I am so happy to hear that you are home now, where you belong. Everytime I see you, you are just so happy. Your smile never leaves your face. To think what all you have been through, and knowing that you graduated college during this time is just completely unbelievable! I am so proud of you! Your gradution ceremony was so touching. Mrs. Erin, Mr. Joel, Danielle and Lydia I cannot even imagine what you have to go through each and every day. You guys are nothing more than amazing! I love each and everyone of you so much! You are ALL in my prayers.
With Love Always,
Mandy Mulkey
